From the opening strains of the "Anniversary Song" to the finale, "Thank You Very Much", this 25th Anniversary Show sparkles and delights. The band is resplendent in tuxedos, and the set itself seems the quintessence of all Welk Shows with a huge crystal champagne glass in the center, and glittering chandeliers overhead. When Lawrence and Champagne Lady Norma Zimmer waltz together in the opening number you know you're in for a real treat.
Many of those who have been associated with the show the longest are featured including Myron Floren, Barney Liddell, Dick Dale, Bob Lido, and Jimmy Roberts. Other key performers include Anacani, Tom Netherton, Sandi Patti, Gail Farrell, Mary Lou Metzger, Arthur Duncan, Ken Delo, Jack Imel, Bobby Burgess, Elaine Balden, and of course the great Lawrence Welk himself.
This is indeed a great show that should be in every Lawrence Welk fan's library.
